This beautiful blue-grey house in the centre of Kulturen's grounds was once home to the Thomander family.
Johan Henrik and Emilie Thomander moved in as newlyweds in 1833–34. Johan Henrik went on to have a distinguished career as a priest, professor, member of parliament, and translator. In the final years of his life, he served as Bishop of Lund. The family lived in this house, which originally stood on Paradisgatan in Lund, until 1850.
Join us for a tour where Kulturen’s guide, Jessica Ljung, tells the story of the Thomander family.
Included in the admission fee, no pre-booking required. The tour starts from the back of the White House, the museum’s main entrance building.
