Following the recent government announcement regarding new restrictions - taking effect on the 24 November - we have decided to keep Kulturen in Lund open. However, in an effort to reduce the risk of spreading the Corona virus all scheduled events will be cancelled. This applies to the Christmas program in its entirety, up to and including 10 January.
Kulturen in Lund offers large open spaces and plenty of fresh air, as such we believe an open-air museum may be what people need access to now more than usual. We can already see that there are fewer people on the grounds and have therefore deemed it unlikely that visitors will encounter any areas where social distancing cannot be maintained. All departments of our organisation adhere to the advice published by the Public Health Agency of Sweden and Association of Swedish Museums.
Kulturen in Lund is not technically affected by the restrictions regarding ublic gatherings (ie max 8 people) as a museum visit does not constitute a public gathering or event.
