Our largest museum is Kulturen in Lund, where you’ll find around twenty exhibitions, an attractive open-air museum and a wide-ranging programme of activities for visitors of all ages. A warm welcome awaits you! We also look forward to seeing you at Kulturen’s Östarp, a historic farming environment dating back to the 19th century, and at our other attractions – the Grocer’s Shop from the turn of the 20th century (Hökeriet), the Tegnér Museum (Tegnérmuseet), the Norlind Museum (Norlindmuseet) and the two medical history museums, the Museum of Life (Livets museum) in Lund and the Museum of Medical History in Helsingborg (Medicinhistoriska museet i Helsingborg).

In the Thomander House it's Christmas Eve in 1849. On show is the most modern thing imaginable at this time – a big decorated Christmas tree! It is on show only on Christmas Eve; it is plundered of its sweets immediately and then thrown out

Kulturen in Lund is filled with historic buildings and beautiful gardens. Step into our houses and experience life in the city and the countryside, from the Middle Ages to the 1930s.

You can also choose from among twenty exhibitions – from folk art to modern design, from medieval history to the present day, from local culture to world culture. We offer an extensive visitor’s program for all ages, and we celebrate old and new traditions.

Our other visitor destinations are e.g. Kulturen’s Östarp, where you can experience a farm environment from the 1800s, Hökeriet, which is the oldest grocery store in Lund, The Museum of Life (Livets museum), which is about the human body functions, and the Museum of Medical History in Helsingborg, about how the perception of health and illness has changed over time.
