Julstök – Christmas Fair
Our Christmas Fair is an experience for all the senses. Christmas food, decorations and crafts are on sale at indoor and outdoor market stalls. In the historical buildings, we talk about how Christmas was celebrated in the past. A Lucia procession and Christmas music generate a Christmas mood and you can buy hot food, mulled wine and coffee. On Friday, we are open from 16:00 to 20:00. This is mainly for adults. On Saturday and Sunday, we are open from 11:00 to 17:00 with more child-friendly activities such Christmas crafts, dancing around the tree and a visit to Father Christmas.
Admission: adults SEK 130, senior citizens SEK 100 and students SEK 65. Admission is free for visitors aged 0–18 and Kulturen members.
Follow the Christmas Trail
From 23 November to 16 January, you can follow Kulturen’s Christmas Trail and see how Christmas was celebrated in the past in some of our culturally historical buildings. Ask about the trail at the entrance and you will be given a map to guide you. The brief descriptions on the Christmas Trail signs are also in English.
From 3 December to 23 December, there will be a Christmas shop next to the museum shop. We will fill it with Christmas gifts, decorations and treats, and make it extra Christmassy. The museum shop has the same opening hours as the museum.
